DESCRIPTION A newspaper cutting of the image of the Queen's Christmas Box, of which 90,000 were sent to the British soldiers, called Tommys, fighting in South Africa during the South African War in 1900. They contained half-a-pound of fine chocolate and were the Queen's "little personal present" for Christmas.
